The nautilus's most distinguishing feature is its spiral-coiled, chambered shell. It grows by adding new chambers to its shell, each one 6.3 percent larger than the last. The shell's mathematically perfect proportion reminds us that its growth is intentional and part of nature's plan, just as we need a life's plan in order to grow ourselves.
